For all you goat fanatics and Capricorns out there! My fantasy Goat-a-cornicus or Goaticorn!!  What I envision a real unicorn might look like (with 2 horns)!

My own creation! He started out to be a unicorn, but kept demanding (as a goat should), to be a goat, so I finally gave in!

Its a huge 14 x 12 x 9 inches of wool – hard felted over a wire armature. Hand-painted glass eyes that glow in the dark when placed under UV lamp or in daylight. Its skin is first wet-felted using silver, white, and storm mulberry and tussah silk, ultrafine merino, wool nepps, angelina and silk art yarns. Wet felting takes several days to process and dry. The skin actually sparkles and is very luxurious in texture. The camera does it no justice unfortunately. Needs to be seen to be appreciated!

I then cut and place the skin over the felted form and needle it down very firmly. I add the horns and hooves I model out of polymer, paint in silver, then I finished this piece with various beautiful wool locks from several species of sheep and Angora goat. Eye-lashes are my fluffy rare Karakul goat hair.

This is a one of a kind piece and comes signed with stamped COA and wool care sheet.
